Dr. Ahmed graduated from Glasgow University (Scotland) in 1989.  Prior to that he did a bachelor degree in the United States of America.  He obtained the MRCP in 1993 (Membership of the Royal College of Physician) and became a Fellow of the Royal College in 2003. He did his postgraduate medical training in the UK, initially in Scotland then he moved to Bath in England where he was trained at the prestigious The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases.  He came back to Oman in the year 2002.  He is working at Royal Hospital as a senior Consultant Rheumatologist & the Head of the Medical Division.
